Katrina I Geil (FO)

Katrina í Geil is a Faroese textile designer MA, specialized in knitting. Since graduation from Designskolen Kolding in Denmark in 2005, her focus has been on developing new methods for design processes in terms of getting innovative ideas for knitted garments.She is currently studying different ways of combining methods within design, improvisational theater and flow-theories to help activate the creative potential of the experienced knitter for a more unique product. In the past Katrina has worked with designers like Peter Jensen, UK, Trine Vestergaard, DK, and has sold designs to Calvin Klein and Anthropology, USA. Working with the magic of the thread she has had lectures, workshops and exhibitions all over Europe and in the Baltic Countries.
