Poulina Jóanesardóttir has chosen to write her own story about the Faroese National Costume. She has shown great courage with her free playing with the costume. And no doubt put her colour on it, the way it looks today.
Poulina bought her first loom at the age of 15. She got her education in The Faroes and in Denmark and apart from having her own workshop, she has been teaching for the last 30 years.
Her work at this exhibition hava a touch of the national costume.

Ragna Frodadottir studied textile and fashion design in Paris, France and Reykjavik, Iceland. After designing for her own label, Path of Love, for more than 10 years she moved to NYC in 2008 to work in the field of international trend forecasting. Her work has been shown in showrooms, museums and on catwalks in Europe. Ragna has received many recognitions for her work - both for her design and for her efforts to create jobs for women in the design and textile industry. Ragna is currently working for Edelkoort inc in NYC as well as working on her own design.
